Mosaix Ventures is an investment partnership focused on supporting innovative companies with exceptional potential.
Mosaix was founded in 2000 with initial capital from a European family office. Relative to the traditional venture capital and hedge fund model, Mosaix offers family offices, fund of funds and other asset managers a compelling extension to their direct investment activities -- as defined by investment flexibility, transparency and cost-effectiveness.
Our investment philosophy, very simply, is to support entrepreneurial management teams with a keen sensitivity to capital efficiency in their efforts to build sustainable businesses based on novel, disruptive, technologies and/or business models. In doing so, we strive to be disciplined about valuation and risk assessment.
Our investment focus encompasses:
- post proof-of-concept private healthcare companies, primarily in the areas of medical devices and health care information technology/services, with an emphasis on mid- to late-stage investments
- selective special situation investments in:
- fundamentally sound public healthcare entities (oftentimes where we have unique perspective based on our familiarity with them as private enterprises) where transient pricing anomalies allow for the potential to generate late-stage private equity-like returns
- private non-healthcare companies pursuing well-differentiated niche businesses wherein Mosaix can cost-effectively establish modest ownership positions alongside founding management
